Newborn Photography in the Comfort of Your Home

Do you love natural photos with your baby but worry if it will work out at home? I’ll show you that your home is the best place for capturing authentic moments full of emotions and warmth. If you prefer natural shots, newborn photography at your home is the perfect option for you! I love photographing newborns in their first two weeks because they change so quickly during that time. But I’m happy to photograph older babies as well. We’re not limited by whether they’re sleeping or not, as we would be with posed newborn photography. Older babies can give us the most beautiful smiles and curious looks, which have their own charm. We can schedule the session anytime you feel ready. Just send me a message, and we’ll plan everything together.

Your Home Doesn’t Have to Look Like a Magazine

During a newborn session at your home, the goal is to capture the atmosphere and genuine emotions between your baby, you, and your family. The result is a set of natural photos combining a lifestyle approach with gentle portraits—moments with your baby in a space that’s familiar and comfortable for you. Crying, mess, tiredness… and still beautiful family photos? Yes! It doesn’t matter if your apartment is small, if you think you’re not photogenic, or if your baby cries more than others. Every home and every family is perfect just the way they are. Your home doesn’t need to look like it belongs in a magazine. A bed, a couch, and your arms are the most beautiful places to capture your shared moments. Put your feet up… and just relax! I’m not a nosy guest or a hygiene inspector. There’s no need for a major cleanup or stressing about dust. Dust won’t show up in the photos, but your tiredness will. So instead of cleaning, take a break before the session and let go of these little worries!

I will guide you through the session naturally and effortlessly, find the best light, and capture the most beautiful moments of your family.

One day, your “baby” will look back, and these photos will become the most precious memories. Not just images of a perfectly posed, sleeping bundle, but pictures that tell a story—photos where they’ll see their parents just as they were, in the place where they grew up. That’s why I photograph at your home, in your environment, where you feel most comfortable. It’s important to me that the session is calm, stress-free, and fully respectful of your pace and comfort. Every moment is unique, and so will be your photos.

What is Lifestyle Photography?

Lifestyle photography is about capturing life as it truly is. It’s a style of portrait photography that focuses on natural moments, genuine emotions, and storytelling. It’s not about perfect poses but rather about small details—a smile, a touch, a glance. It doesn’t matter whether we’re photographing a big life milestone, like the birth of a baby, or an “ordinary” everyday moment with your family. The photographer isn’t a director who sets everything up in detail but a guide who helps you feel comfortable, gives gentle direction, and captures you just as you are. Lifestyle photography is storytelling through the lens. The photos you’ll get aren’t just for the moment. They are timeless memories that you and future generations will cherish forever.

What Are the Benefits for You?

The entire session is adapted to your baby’s needs. We have plenty of time—for feeding, changing, dressing, and even playing with older siblings. Everything happens calmly and naturally, just as your baby needs. You don’t have to rush to be ready at a specific time or worry about what you might forget. You can stay in the comfort of your home, get some rest, and simply wait for me to arrive. And the best part? Whatever happens, you’ll have everything you need right there.

NOTHING IS A PROBLEM—YOU’RE AT HOME!

Where Will We Take Photos?

We’ll mostly use the bedroom, living room, or nursery. Great shots can also be taken in the kitchen—after all, that’s where a lot of family life happens. The goal is to capture natural moments, so we’ll take photos on the couch, in bed, or anywhere that’s comfortable for the whole family. The most important thing is natural light. I always try to find the best daylight, ideally near a window, to create bright and airy photos full of authenticity.

Your Home is Beautiful!

How do I know that without even seeing it?

Because it’s the place where your story unfolds, the place where you welcomed your children—and that makes it the most precious thing you have. One of the most common worries is that your home might not be suitable for a photo session. Trust me, there’s no need to worry. It doesn’t matter if your furniture is old, if the wall needs repainting, or if your space is small. None of that matters! I will adapt to your home, and we will always find a spot to create beautiful photos. The most important element in every picture is you and your family. Your home is part of your story—and that’s exactly what I want to capture.

What to prepare?

Lifestyle photography is known for its simplicity and natural look, so there’s really nothing special you need to do. The only thing I’d like to ask is to have a simple duvet cover or bedspread in lighter colors. White, gray, pastel shades, or natural, neutral tones look great. Earthy colors can add a wonderfully warm atmosphere and are definitely worth considering. A subtle, delicate pattern can also work well, but please avoid bold colors and patterns that could distract from the most important part — the baby and you.

What to wear?

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable. When it comes to colors, especially for baby photography, simplicity is key. Choose something that suits you, but neutral tones (gray, white, beige, black) or pastel shades work best. Don’t overthink it—avoid bold, complex patterns and T-shirts with prints or logos. Layers and textured fabrics look really nice in photos.

What will I ask from you?

Just be yourself and enjoy everything that the session brings. I’ll guide you a little, help you out, and from there, it’s all about not being afraid to show your emotions. I can be a quiet observer or a kind companion who encourages and supports you whenever needed. Feel free to shower your baby with kisses, tickle them, and simply surround them with as much love as possible.

How much time will we have? As much as we need.

A session at your home usually takes about an hour, but I don’t like to estimate the time too precisely. I won’t drag the session unnecessarily, but it’s important that we have enough time. I also expect breaks for feeding or changing the baby. Don’t worry about a thing.
